Class Descriptions

Parent & Tot - Children will explore all the equipment in a fun and safe enviroment. Parent aids their child by providing spotting assistance and helping to keep the child focused. All types of locomotive skills, interactive play, hand and foot/eye coordination skills are performed.

Tots - Activities include National Tots Skills Program, Calisthenics, Special Number, Marching, Circuit Training, Games, Hand-Eye Coordination, Fine & Gross Motor Skills, and Songs.

1st Class Girls & Boys - Activities include Track & Field, Artistic Gymnastics, National Skills Program, Games, Calisthenics, and Special Number.

2nd Class Girls - Activities include Track & Field, Rhythmic & Artistic Gymnastics, National Skills Program, Calisthenics, Special Number, Pyramid, Stunting, and Marching.

2nd Class Boys - Activities include Track & Field, Artistic Gymnastics, National Skills Program, Calisthenics, and Special Number.

Junior Girls - Activities include Volleyball, Rhythmic & Artistic Gymnastics, National Skills Program, Calisthenics, Special Number, Pyramid, Stunting, and Marching.

Junior Boys - Activities include Volleyball, Artistic Gymnastics, National Skills Program, Calisthenics, Special Number, Pyramid, Stunting, and Marching.

Women (Active) - Activities include Aerobics, Kickboxing, Dance, Strength & Conditioning, Rhythmic & Artistic Gymnastics, Volleyball, Calisthenics, Special Number, and Marching.

Senior II Women - Activities include Senior Aerobics, Calisthenics, Rhythmic & Artistic Gymnastics, Special Number, Marching and other fitness level-appropriate activities.

Men - Activities include Strength & Conditioning, Artistic Gymnastics, Volleyball, Basketball, Calisthenics, Special Number, Pyramid, and Marching.

Rhythmic Gymnastics

Co-ed Sokol Fitness - Warm Ups, Focus Areas: Arm strength and toning, Leg strength and toning, Core strength and toning, Flexibility, Cardio, Cool Down Exercises. Skill level in class will be diverse.

Ballroom: Beginners - Beginners learn the basics of the Rhumba, Samba, Swing, and Tango.

Ballroom: Intermediate - After the Bascis course, learn more advanced moves to dance the Rhumba, Samba, Swing, and Tango.

Advanced Gymnastics (Girls) - This program is for students already registered in Sokol Tabor who have a strong desire to pursue gymnastics training throughout the Sokol year. This class focuses on skill progression, improving strength and flexibility, and learning USAG routines. Girls are admitted to this program at the discretion of the instructor.

Co-ed Acrobatic Rock and Roll - A very sporty, competitive form of dance. The most obvious feature of rock and roll dance are its fast and furious kicks and its acrobatic elements like lifts, jumps, throws, and flips. It is danced by both couples and groups.
