Junior Class Banquet
The 2011 Sokol Tabor Junior Class Annual Banquet was held on Thursday, September 29 in the gym. The evening started with a game called “No Balls Wanted.” The Juniors were split into two teams and the object was to have the least amount of playground balls on your teams side when time was called. Next, outgoing Junior Class Directors, John Fron and Hallie Soulides spoke to the class and provided insight on their past experience on the Junior Board. Then the candidates running for a position on the 2011-2012 Sokol Tabor Junior Board each spoke. They were asked to introduce themselves (name, ages, school, grade level, sports and extra-curricular activities), provide their Sokol background, and create a new fund-raiser to conduct this coming season.
While the ballots were tallied, the Juniors played “Protect the Pins.” Once again, split into two teams, the object is to protect 10 Indian clubs standing on their teams side, while balls are tossed back and forth across the court. Cookies and pop were served and a class picture was taken. The evening concluded with the announcement of the 2011-2012 Sokol Tabor Junior Board.
